The premiere season of Women Behind Bars, which airs on WEtv on Tuesday’s at 9PM, profiles 24 women who have been incarcerated for committing such crimes as murder and arson.  Each episode features two women, as we learn, through interviews with law enforcement, attorneys, friends and family members about their childhood, adolescence, the crimes they committed and what led up to their conviction.  In interviews with each inmate, we find out what their lives are like in prison, how they’re coping, and what their hopes are for the future.
