Beyond Bizarre - Episode 1

Pentecostal Serpent Handlers

Beyond Bizarre journeys to the hills of the rural south where believers take
passages  of the Bible literally enough to take up serpents...especially deadly
rattlesnakes and cotton- mouths. Here, they speak in tongues, lay hands on
each other and become possessed with an uncontrollable zeal to cast out the
devil's influence. Some take extreme measures and swallow 100% strychnine
as a testimonial to their piety, without, it appears, any fatal results.
Witches of Wicca
The Beyond Bizarre crew films a witches coven in a secluded Florida location.
They perform a basic ritual in which they acknowledge the sacred elements of:
earth, air, fire, and the moon. Self proclaimed as "white witches", these Wiccans
hesitate to  cast evil spells, since they believe dark magic comes back at the
originator three-fold. Their non-judgmental religion is claimed to have survived
tens of thousands of years.
Rocks that Move
Located near Death Valley, an isolated mysterious dry lake called Devil's Race
Track is the setting for a most unusual phenomenon that has baffled scientists
and rangers alike for decades. Scattered around the dry lakebed are large rocks
and boulders which have left "scrapings" or traveling tracks in the flat dry lakebed.
Although this  rock movement occurs (based on the tracks they leave) nobody has
witnessed the event to date.
Integratron (Anti-aging machine)
The late George Van Tassle constructed a bizarre building full of wiring and
electromagnetic devices in the hope of fabricating an anti-aging device. Ironically,
Van Tassle died before the structure went on-line, but the concept was to create
mortal rejuvenation by recharging the human cell structure. The building is now a
curious attraction in California's high desert.
Wolf Boys of Mexico

Suffering from an unusual hair growth disorder which covers them from head
to toe with thick curly hair, two boys from a small Mexican town find a future in
the Mexican National Circus. There, the wolf boys are not cast in a "freak show"
but are employed as acrobatic stunt performers, by a caring manager who guards
their welfare and provides for their education.

Ufologist Dr. Stranges
Dr. Frank E. Stranges has a unique pal, a Martian by the name of Valient Thor.
Dr. Stranges says the Martian visits him on a regular basis and has invited the
doctor aboard his space vehicle. In addition, Dr. Stranges' claims Valient Thor
has been working at the Pentagon where Stranges professes to have visited him.
Intriguingly, photos of the human looking Martian have gone unchallenged over
time by the many millions of Beyond Bizarre viewers.
Cryogenics
Modern man has gone to great lengths to employ technology as a means
to make life on this planet easier for him to endure. If that is not enough,
technology is now being called upon to "deep freeze" humans at death
for a substantial fee) in the hopes that precious life can somehow be
restored in the future by some medical miracle.
Modern Day Mummification
At Lynn University in Florida the mortuary science department teaches
more  than funerary practice. Here they have reincarnated the ancient art
of mummification. Graduates of their program have a bizarre advantage:
The deceased will have an option to standard burial practices. The
mummification option includes preservation, body wrap, mummiform,
and a sarcophagus with inscriptions depicting the life of the departed.
